My ideas. My views. My perspectives .

This clip from Spike Lee’s 1989 classic Do the Right Thing was the inspiration for the Radio Raheem’s Deleted Scene piece that I just posted. I felt that every ethno-racial group in New York (Italians, Black folks, Koreans, Jews and Puerto Ricans) were stereotyped/stigmatized and within this racially charged clip, there is one group that was allowed to speak, but was not spoken against- Caucasian/ Anglo-Americans. And within this scene, the voice of the White folks of New York was a police officer. This is the same police officer that ultimately silenced Radio Raheem by chocking him to death with a nightstick. I felt compelled to give my fallen fictional brother the final word.
